The Cafec Deep 45 is the middle cone in Cafec's deep dripper family, sitting between the Deep 27 (narrowest, slowest) and the standard V60's 60-degree geometry (widest, fastest). At 45 degrees it preserves some of the extraction-extending depth of the Deep 27 but lets water flow more naturally, giving a cup that splits the difference between body and clarity.
For many brewers the Deep 45 is the easiest cone to use well. The 45-degree geometry is forgiving with pour timing, the drawdown stays in the 3:00 to 4:00 window for most recipes, and the cup profile works across a wide range of roasts without major grind adjustments. It is the deep dripper to pick if you want a single-cone solution that flatters both light and medium coffees without favouring either.
A starting recipe: 15 g of coffee to 240 g of water (1:16), medium grind, water at 94–96 °C, three or four pours in 3:00 to 3:45. Uses Cafec's dedicated 45° Deep paper (narrower than a standard cone sheet) — a V60 02 cone does not seat correctly in the steep bed. Where the Deep 27 leans sweet and the V60 leans bright, the Deep 45 lands where most drinkers actually want their morning cup to be — balanced, forgiving, and hard to mess up.
