Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern the download and use of the Gota mobile application. By installing or using the app, you accept these terms. If you disagree, do not use the app.

- Owner: Jose Antonio Neto Suárez (Utropia)
- Address: C/ Manuel Vela 37, 21440 Lepe, Huelva, Spain
- Tax ID (NIF): ES29607219D

Information provided in compliance with Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSICE).
2. Purpose
Gota is a coffee brewing companion app that provides recipes, a brew timer, brew logging and related tools. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
3. License (EULA)
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Gota on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to the App Store Terms of Service. You may not:
- Copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the app.
- Distribute, sublicense, rent, sell or transfer the app to third parties.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble except where expressly permitted by law.
- Remove proprietary notices, trademarks or credits.
You acknowledge that the license agreement is between you and Utropia, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content; Utropia is. However, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you (per Apple Developer Guidelines).
4. Gota Pro — subscriptions and purchases
Gota offers premium features in two forms:
- Yearly subscription — auto-renews every 12 months at the then-current App Store price, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Your Apple ID is charged upon confirmation.
- Lifetime purchase — one-time payment that permanently unlocks Gota Pro for the purchasing Apple ID.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Cancelling prevents the next renewal but does not refund the current period.
5. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with art. 103(m) of Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (Consumer Protection Act), as the app delivers digital content whose performance begins with your express consent upon purchase, the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply once download or service provision has started. For billing issues, request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. User content
You retain ownership of the recipes, notes and logs you create. By sharing a recipe via QR code or link, you grant other users a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to view and use it within the app. You are responsible for the content you create and share.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Gota for unlawful purposes, not to upload content that infringes third-party rights, not to attempt to compromise the security of the service and not to abuse AI features through automated or excessive usage.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its design, source code, brand and curated recipe content are owned by Utropia and/or its licensors, and are protected by intellectual property laws.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Gota is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that brewing results will be accurate: results depend on each user's equipment, technique and beans. This clause does not limit statutory consumer rights.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Utropia shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence or any damages that cannot legally be excluded for consumers.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the app in case of misuse or breach of these terms. You may stop using the app and delete it at any time.
12. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal or service changes. The current version will be published on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For consumers residing in Spain or the EU, the mandatory consumer protection rules of their country of residence apply and the courts designated under Regulation (EU) 1215/2012 shall have jurisdiction. In all other cases, the parties submit to the courts of Huelva, Spain.
14. Online dispute resolution
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
