Your grinder, in every recipe
Gota writes each recipe's grind on a scale from 1, very fine, to 10, very coarse, and shows it as the setting on your own grinder: clicks on a Comandante, numbers on a Baratza, rotations on a 1Zpresso. These are the 51 grinders it knows, from 18 brands.
How the conversion works
Every recipe in Gota carries a grind level from 1 to 10. Add the grinders you own in the app and each recipe shows that level as a range on your dial: the clicks to count or the number to line up.
The ranges come from the makers' own manuals and brew guides first, and from specialty-coffee references that agree with each other after that. Each grinder says how solid its evidence is, and a setting Gota can't back is left empty, never guessed.
Burrs, beans and taste vary, so a range is a starting point. Brew, adjust, and Gota remembers where you left the dial for each coffee. If your grinder runs finer or coarser, calibrate it with settings of your own.
