The Graycano, released by German start-up Graycano in 2020, is a minimalist stainless-steel cone brewer designed for a single purpose: produce V60-style bright, articulate cups with a dripper that survives travel and careless kitchens. The cone angle, drainage, and paper compatibility track a standard V60, so recipes port across directly.

What Graycano adds is build quality and silhouette. The brewer is single-wall stainless steel laser-cut and welded into a sharp, architectural form. It preheats quickly with a filter rinse, cools slightly faster than ceramic, and is effectively indestructible in daily use. The design won a 2021 iF Design Award, and it fits the aesthetic of most modern kitchen counters.

A starting recipe: 15 g of coffee to 250 g of water (1:16), medium-fine grind, water at 94–96 °C, four pours in 2:45 to 3:30. Uses standard V60 02 paper filters. It is the V60 for a brewer who wants the classic cone cup but hates the fragility of ceramic and glass — no functional trade-off, just better survivability.

Not a timer. Your barista. It guides every pour live, learns from each cup and tells you what to change to nail the next one — with a tasting journal, bean and grinder tracking.
