The V60 03 is Hario's large-format pour-over, with room for 700 ml to 1 L of brewed coffee and batches of roughly 30 to 60 g of dry coffee. It is the size coffee shops reach for when a customer orders "a pot for the table" and the one home brewers use when they want a single, careful brew for three or four people.
Scaling up a V60 is not trivial. The deeper bed means more turbulence during pours, a longer bloom window, and a greater risk of uneven extraction at the centre. Work with a slightly coarser grind than your 02 recipe, split the water into four or five deliberate pours, and give the bloom the full 45 seconds to degas evenly. Keep the ratio around 1:16, water at 94–96 °C, and expect a total brew time of 4:00 to 5:30.
The 03 rewards patience. When the pours land flat and the bed drops evenly, the cup keeps the same clarity of the smaller sizes — only now you have enough of it to share.
