The Orea O2 is the larger O-series sibling to the O1: an open-bottom flat-bed brewer sized around 185 Wave and large Orea flat filters. It keeps the O1's direct, low-resistance drawdown, but gives the bed enough area and headroom for larger one-cup recipes or a true two-cup brew.

OREA's official O2 guide covers the full range below, from the in-the-box two-cup recipe to Tetsu Kasuya's 4:6 and a bright iced flash brew. Most recipes run on an Orea Wave filter; a few use Orea Flat Paper with the Negotiator, noted per recipe. The O1 and V4 Narrow recipes also translate well to the O2 if you want to explore further.

Usable dose is 12–28 g, with a best range of 16–24 g. Pours use OREA's standard 5 g/s rate and are timed by the water level falling close to the coffee bed rather than by the clock. The recipes are designed around light to very light roasts; for more developed roasts, grind finer and lower the water temperature to taste. There is no need to pre-heat the O2 — every recipe starts from a room-temperature brewer.

Not a timer. Your barista. It guides every pour live, learns from each cup and tells you what to change to nail the next one — with a tasting journal, bean and grinder tracking.
