One-Shot Pour (No Bloom)

Hario Mugen Hario others by Hario

Hario's official Mugen guide showcases the brewer's intended one-shot pour without a bloom. Its star-shaped wall ridges regulate contact and drainage, making a single continuous addition capable of a balanced, approachable cup.

Notes

Pour steadily enough to wet the bed evenly, but do not race the brewer or repeatedly strike the paper wall. Because there is no bloom correction later, break up clumps during dry-bed preparation and grind coarser if the final cup tastes overdeveloped.
