Method

Before you brew

  1. 1 Insert the stopper, fit the rinsed Filtron pad, add and level the coffee, then place the coffee guard on top.

    +1600g→ 1600g 4°C
  2. Prepare 2 / 6

Cover the vessel and place it in the refrigerator.

  3. Steep 3 / 6

    Let it steep undisturbed.

    12h–24h
  4. Prepare 4 / 6

Lift the coffee bowl over the decanter, remove the stopper and let the concentrate drain for thirty to forty-five minutes.

  5. Serve 5 / 6

Dilute the concentrate 1:2 with cold water and serve.

  6. Done 6 / 6

Concentrate ready. Dilute to taste, or serve over ice.

Notes

Add 340g to the Filtron without compacting the bed, saturate evenly with 1600g, and steep for 16h as Stumptown prefers. Drain patiently rather than squeezing the grounds. Dilute one part concentrate with two parts water and keep the remainder sealed and cold.
