Base Recipe
by Cafeshi for Cafec Flower Cup 4 original source (cafeshi.es)
Cafeshi's baseline scaled for the Flower Cup 4. Same gesture as the single-cup version — 30-second bloom and two equal pours — at a 25g (0.9 oz) dose so the bed depth stays right for the wider 4-cup body.
Before you start
You need
- Cafec Flower Cup 4
- Scale
- Water at 93 °C (199 °F)
Notes from Cafeshi
Around 22 clicks Comandante C40, BWT-filtered water at 93°C (199.4°F).
Dose pushed to 25g (0.9 oz) on purpose — drop below 20g (0.7 oz) and the bed gets too shallow for the Cup 4 to channel cleanly.
Bloom of 83g (2.9 oz) for the full 30 seconds. Two main pours of about 166g (5.9 oz) each at the same pace.
Total brew time around 3:30. A click coarser if it stalls past 3:45.
Starting point for a new bean — taste it first, tune grind from there.
