The C70 is the same 70-degree geometry as the Phoenix70 cast in ceramic. The proprietary cone makes the brew column about 30% taller than a standard filter, so water spends longer in contact with the coffee and the deep bed traps fines for a clean cup — the same clarity-and-extraction argument as the flagship, in a more familiar and far more affordable form.
What ceramic adds is thermal mass: preheat the brewer with a rinse and it holds temperature steadily through the pour, which suits light and medium roasts that want heat. Brew it like the Phoenix — a 1:16, water near boiling, even pours to a three-and-a-half to four minute drawdown. Uses Saint Anthony's conical Perfect Paper filters.
