AeroPress

Ultimate

The recipe James Hoffmann settled on after methodically testing every AeroPress variable: standard (non-inverted) position, a two-minute steep, and a slow press stopped at the first hiss. Forgiving and repeatable — hard to get wrong.

Notes

Hoffmann skips two steps most guides insist on: don't rinse the paper filter and don't preheat the brewer. In his testing neither changed the cup, and both only cost you time.
