Percolation
by Kurasu for Hario V60 NEO 02 original source (kurasu.kyoto)
Kurasu's recommended V60 Neo percolation uses 12g (0.4 oz) and four steady additions without a distinct bloom. It relies on the brewer's quick, even drainage to deliver a light-bodied, transparent cup with clean aromatics.
Before you start
You need
- Hario V60 NEO 02
- Scale
- Water at 91 °C (196 °F)
Notes from Kurasu
Keep each addition controlled and let the slurry level fall before the next, but do not expose a dry, cracked bed. If the low 12g (0.4 oz) dose tastes thin, grind finer rather than pouring harder; coarsen if the finish becomes papery or drying.

It should finish dripping around 2:10. If not, change just one thing in the next cup:
- Past 2:40? Grind coarser
- Done before 1:40? Grind finer
- Bitter or dry? Coarser, or cooler water
- Sour and thin? Grind finer
