15 Method
by Coffee Samurai for Hario V60 NEO 02 original source (youtube.com)
Coffee Samurai's two-pour '15 Method' for the NEO: a 15% bloom with a light spin, then a single fill to 1:15, aiming to drain by 1:45. Quick, sweet, and forgiving on the fast NEO cone.
Before you start
You need
- Hario V60 NEO 02
- Scale
- Water at 90 °C (194 °F)
Notes from Coffee Samurai
The whole brew should finish near 1:45; if the bed stalls and runs long, go a step coarser next time — the fast NEO cone rewards keeping it draining.

- Done before 1:25? Grind finer
- Bitter or dry? Coarser, or cooler water
- Sour and thin? Grind finer
