April Brewer

Dark Roast

Open in app

April Coffee's dark-roast adjustment lowers extraction intensity through cooler water and a coarser grind. The Brewer's stable flat bed keeps saturation even, aiming to preserve body and sweetness without amplifying bitterness or roast harshness.

Notes

Set the kettle to 88°C and pour gently to avoid extracting fines too aggressively. Start coarse and judge the cooled cup: move coarser for bitterness or dryness, finer for salty thinness. Medium-dark coffees may need a slightly tighter setting.
