Orea Z1

Brian Quan's Z1 recipe, poured through the Melodrip at full speed for the first two additions, then slowed to a trickle that holds a shallow column over the bed. Built for dense, high-grown light roasts.

Notes

Take the kettle off the heat as you start and let the temperature fall through the brew — the decline is part of the recipe, not a compromise. On the final pour watch the column, not the clock: keep it shallow, and it should run visibly clearer as you approach 250g.
