Trace the same controlled pattern across the full bed for every pulse and keep kettle height low. Maintain enough slurry depth for stable heat, but reduce pour energy if fines collect at the filter and drawdown slows.

When it's done
It should finish dripping around 4:00. If not, change just one thing in the next cup:
- Past 4:50? Grind coarser
- Done before 3:10? Grind finer
- Bitter or dry? Coarser, or cooler water
- Sour and thin? Grind finer
