Kalita Wave 185

Center Pour

Kalita's center-pour approach uses the Wave's flat bed and restricted outlets to extract with minimal agitation. A narrow stream keeps the technique simple and controlled, producing a calm, rounded cup with consistent balance and clarity.

Notes

Hold a low, vertical stream over the center and avoid drilling aggressively into the bed. Level the grounds before blooming; if the outside remains visibly dry, widen the pour slightly rather than increasing flow rate.
