Cafec Flower Oval 102 Cafec

Three Pour

by CAFEC

Belco's three-pour Flower Dripper recipe at 1:15. Half the water lands in the second pour to push body, the third pour fills out the cup. A medium grind on the Oval 102 holds together because the second hole keeps the second-pour wave moving.

Notes

The middle pour is the one that defines this recipe — it lifts the level high and pushes water through the deepest part of the bed. Pour it confidently in steady circles, not in a single thin stream. At 20g the Oval 102 is at the bottom of its dose range — the bed is shallow enough that pour control matters more than usual. Brush the corners on every pour. For darker beans drop to 90°C; for a pricier light roast push to 95°C.
