Chemex 3 Cup

Light Roast 3-Cup

Chemex 3 Cup Chemex by Chemex

Chemex's brew guide is tuned here for light-roasted coffee in the 3-cup model, using hotter water and a somewhat finer grind to work with dense beans. The desired result is tea-like clarity, vivid acidity, and developed sweetness.

Notes

Brew with 97°C water and preheat both brewer and cup. Start slightly finer than for a medium roast, ensuring the bloom is saturated through its full depth; move coarser if the paper clogs, or finer if the cup is thin and sharply sour.
