Dark Roast

Presented as a Hario V60-01 preparation for dark-roasted coffee, this method combines cooler water, a coarser grind, and gentle pouring. It is designed to produce one clean, rounded cup without exposing smoky or bitter edges.

Notes

Set the water to 88°C and pour with a low, quiet stream to limit agitation. Start coarse; grind finer only if the cup is hollow, while a drying or ashy finish calls for a coarser setting.
