Switch Light Roast

Hario Switch 02 Hario switch by Hario

Hario Europe's official Switch guide tunes immersion for dense light-roast coffee, pairing high heat, a fine grind, and extended contact. The goal is full sweetness and origin clarity without leaving the cup sharp or hollow.

Notes

Start with freshly roasted, well-rested coffee and water near 99°C. Grind fine enough for sweetness but watch the release: if it chokes or tastes drying, coarsen slightly before reducing heat or steep contact.
