Hario Switch 02

Switch Dark Roast

Hario Switch 02 Hario switch by Hario

Hario's official Switch guide adapts immersion brewing to highly soluble dark roasts with cooler water and a coarser grind. It targets generous body and familiar roast depth while avoiding an ashy or bitter finish.

Notes

Use 85°C as the starting water temperature and favor a visibly coarser grind than for light roast. If bitterness remains, shorten the steep before cooling further; if the cup is hollow, tighten the grind modestly.
