The DragonFly SA62 Saddle Dripper is a new-bone-china cone from DragonFly Design Centre (清庭設計), the studio founded by designer Jeff Dayu Shi. It follows the CT62: DragonFly released it at the turn of 2026 as a Year of the Horse edition, and Equal Coffee brought it to Japan in September 2026. Like the CT62 it has a 62° wall; it is a size-01 cone for one to two cups and takes 01 cone papers such as the V60 01. It comes without a holder.
Inside, twelve long grooves run from top to bottom and eight short curved grooves branch off them like coral; DragonFly calls the pattern "Coral Groove" and says the short grooves speed up the flow. The outside carries a saddle relief inspired by Tang-dynasty sancai pottery, a nod to the 2026 Year of the Horse.
On its own the SA62 is a fast percolation cone. Set on DragonFly's separate Conical Transit Base, whose knob closes the outlet to hold the water and opens it to drain, it becomes an immersion-percolation hybrid; the flat Tri-Spin base does not fit it. Equal Coffee presents the speed as headroom rather than haste: room to grind finer, pour more often, stir or close the valve for the first 30 seconds without the brew time running away.
