Cafec Flower Oval 101

Cafec Flower Oval 101 Cafec

Strong 1:14

by CAFEC

Concentrated 1:14 ratio for the Flower Oval 101 — heavier dose, three pours, syrupy body. The trapezoid bed plus single bottom hole work in this recipe's favour: the higher dose deepens the bed and the calmer drainage keeps the longer drawdown clean instead of bitter.

Notes

The 14g dose plus 1:14 ratio gives a notably heavier cup than the 1:16 default — body is the headline. Concentrated ratios extend drawdown by another ~15 seconds; total brew lands around 3:30 instead of 3:00. Three pours not four — fewer agitation events keep the higher dose from over-extracting. A perfect match for chocolate and caramel notes; on a light roast the cup will read muddy.
