Walkure Karlsbader

Dark Roast

This Walkure-attributed variation adapts the porcelain brewer to dark roasts with a gentler extraction. Its coarse grind and reduced heat are intended to preserve caramel sweetness and full body without pushing smoke, bitterness, or dryness.

Notes

Use 88°C and preheat the porcelain so the slurry stays stable without hotter water. Grind coarse, keep the distributor seated, and reduce agitation; if roast bitterness remains, shorten contact before lowering temperature again.
