The OXO Brew Rapid Brewer is a manual immersion-percolation brewer with a built-in shower screen above a 62 mm basket. You weigh coffee into the basket, place a paper filter, pour water on top, and press a plunger to push the brew through into the decanter below. There is no pressure beyond what your arm provides — much less than an espresso shot — but the shower screen and tight basket geometry let you brew at very low ratios without disturbing the puck.
The signature use case is "Zuppa" — a concentrated filter brew, typically at a 1:3 ratio, that lands closer to espresso than to standard pour-over. With coarser grinds and bigger ratios (up to 1:10) the brewer can also produce "Zuppa Lunga", a longer-format version with more cup volume and balanced sweetness. Standard basket dose is 22 g; step-down baskets exist for 15 g doses.
A starting recipe: 22 g of coffee to 85 g of water at 99 °C, medium grind, slow press through to taste — about 30 seconds total.
