Matt Perger is an Australian barista and 2012 World Brewers Cup Champion. He also placed 3rd at the 2011 World Barista Championship and 2nd at the 2013 World Barista Championship, making him one of the most successful competitors of his generation.

He is the founder and CEO of Barista Hustle, an online education platform that publishes structured courses, glossaries, and reference materials on espresso, brewing, milk, and roasting. Through Barista Hustle he has helped formalise concepts such as extraction yield targets, refractometer-driven dialling in, and basket-specific dosing — pushing specialty coffee toward a more technical, repeatable practice.
