by UFO Coffee Tools

UFO Coffee Tools' baseline recipe for V1 and V2 drippers. Three slow 50g pours followed by a high-agitation 100g finisher that creates bypass and controls fines.

Pour 50g in slow circles, low spout. Swirl when finished to fully saturate the bed.

    To 50g 8s Circular
  2. 1:00 02
    Pour

Same low-and-slow circle pour to 100g. Should drain almost completely by 1:30.

    To 100g 8s Circular
  3. 1:30 03
    Pour

Same low-and-slow circle pour to 150g. Should drain by 2:00.

    To 150g 8s Circular
  4. 2:00 04
    Pour

High spout, high flow. First 50g wide circle to lift fines off the wall, then 50g center pour to suspend them above the bed.

    To 250g 12s Circular
  5. 3:15 05
    Done

    Drawdown complete.

Notes

Pour low and slow on the first three pulses to keep the bed structured and the fines settled. The bloom pour is under 7g/s, so the 50g takes nearly the full minute to land — the long bloom is by design. The 100g final pour is split in two: the first 50g circles wide to lift fines off the wall, the last 50g is a center pour to keep them suspended above the bed.
