The Flatbed is a porcelain flat-bottom dripper from Hong Kong ceramics maker Loveramics, launched in 2023 and designed by the London-based designer Simon Stevens. Loveramics calls it the 02, the larger of its two Flatbeds: about 11.5 cm across and 6.5 cm tall, it serves one or two cups and takes Kalita 185 wave papers, with 155 papers also working.
Instead of the three small holes of a Kalita Wave it has a single drain hole cut in a flower shape, which Loveramics says enlarges the brewing area by 120%; an embossed wall keeps a small gap between paper and porcelain so the bed drains faster. Loveramics' suggested starting test is 18–25 g of coffee at 1:12 to 1:15. In 2026, with the smaller One out, Loveramics positioned this 02 as the slower of the two: a more restricted drawdown and longer contact for rich body and round sweetness, suited to medium and darker roasts or larger brews.
It is dishwasher-, microwave- and oven-safe, stacks, and comes in thirteen colours. It has no stand of its own: Loveramics sells a stainless Dripper Stand separately. One reviewer, Day Dripper, found the flow fast but inclined to slow down at the very end; that is a reviewer's observation, not a manufacturer claim.
