A smoother, milder daily cup that skips the bloom entirely and lets the dispersion plate do all the metering. Tested by Dr Forinor against a bloomed version of the same dose — he kept this one.

    Pour steadily to 200g and seat the lid.

Notes

Skipping the bloom drops peak extraction a touch, which is the point: less bite, easier on dark mornings. The dispersion plate spreads water evenly without help, so the bed gets fully wet even without a bloom. Stay under 200g of water — overshooting the fill line splashes back when the bed swells.
