    Close valve, cover the filter support ridges with water, place filter, open valve to drain the base, insert barrel, add and level coffee, place dispersion cap, tare. With the valve open, bloom with 45g of boiling water.

    Close the valve. Pour to 255g and let it steep.

    Open the valve and drain. Close the valve when the slurry is just wet and discard the last 5g or so.

Notes

Target an extraction yield of 19–20%. Discard the last 5g of weak runoff for a cleaner cup.
