No Bloom

Swiss Gold Misc pourover by Dr Forinor

Reported by Dr Forinor in a Coffee Forums comparison, this Swiss Gold KF300 variation omits blooming and relies entirely on the dispersion plate for wetting. Against the bloomed version, it produced the smoother, milder daily cup he preferred.

Notes

Level the bed before filling and let the lid's dispersion plate spread the water without manual stirring. Do not exceed 200g water, because a swollen bed can force liquid back near the fill line. Choose this version when reduced bite is desirable; if it tastes flat, grind slightly finer before adding agitation.
