NextLevel Pulsar

Americano

NextLevel's Pulsar Americano method pushes a fine-ground concentrate through a metal filter, then adds a large water dilution. It is intended for readily extracted coffees and produces an espresso-inspired long cup with body and clarity.

Notes

Use a fine grind but keep the valve flowing; a stalled metal filter can turn the concentrate harsh. Prepare dilution water near 85ppm GH and 20ppm KH, then add it after extraction. Target about 21.5-22.5% extraction yield and coarsen if the finish dries.

Grinder

250–275 µm burr gap (EG-1). Use a metal filter, preferably.
