How it brews
The round paper disc for Hario's syphon (vac-pot) brewers, sold in 100-count boxes. It's cut for the syphon's cloth-clip holder, so it's brewer-specific and doesn't interchange with drip cones or flat papers. In a syphon the filter sits under full immersion rather than a gravity drip, so its job is to hold back fines as the brew is pulled down; Hario publishes no fast/medium/slow class, and syphon draw isn't a drip-style flow anyway, so we leave flow unrated. A rinse before brewing is common to seat the paper.
