Swiss manufacturer of permanent gold-plated coffee filters founded as Elfo AG — the name comes from "electroforming," the galvanic process the company developed to produce precise filter foils. The original gold-plated drop-in filters for drip machines launched in the 1970s; the standalone KF300 "Coffee For One" single-cup pour-over was refined in the mid-1990s. Distributed in North America by Frieling under the same "Coffee For One" name.
