How it brews
Sibarist's fast abaca paper cut as an 80 mm round for syphon (vac-pot) brewers. It's cut for the syphon's filter holder, so it's brewer-specific and doesn't interchange with drip cones or flat papers. In a syphon the paper sits under full immersion rather than a gravity drip, so the FAST abaca sheet mainly governs how cleanly and quickly the brew pulls down — Sibarist's fast framing is its own claim, not measured here. Specialty, single-use, with a rinse to seat the paper.

How it brews
Hario's reusable cotton-flannel pad clips onto the syphon's sprung metal filter holder in place of paper. Cloth is the traditional syphon medium: Hario positions it for a cleaner, lighter-bodied cup than the stainless alternative, while it still holds back fines for clarity. It's washable and lasts many brews with a rinse and a light brush after each use — keep it damp or frozen between sessions so it doesn't sour. There's no published within-seat flow rating, so we leave flow unrated.
