The FAST grade is the high-permeability sheet Sibarist rates as fast-draining, letting you grind finer for clarity without choking the bed; B3 is the lower-porosity option that builds more body and contact time (both the maker's own claims, not measured here). A pre-brew rinse is the usual habit.

How it brews

An abaca-blend cone paper Hario markets as its high-flow V60 filter — the maker states it drains fast for the V60 seat, and rates it low on clogging. The mechanism is the paper itself: a more open abaca sheet lets water leave the bed sooner, so in a fast dripper like the V60 the paper stops being the bottleneck and hands rate control back to your grind and pour. Brewers chasing an open, high-clarity cup tend to reach for a fast paper like this and lean on a finer grind or slower pour to build contact time back up if they want it. It's cut for the standard V60 cone (sizes 01 and 02), so it drops straight into any 60° V60-class dripper.
