- How it brews
- The original wedge filter — Melitta invented the format in 1908 — in the familiar 1x2 (1-4 cup) and 1x4 (4-8 cup) sizes for Melitta and other trapezoid pour-over cones and drip machines. Cheap, ubiquitous, and interchangeable with the Kalita wedge seat. Melitta doesn't publish a comparative flow rating and there's no dependable within-seat ranking, so we leave flow unrated. Fold the crimped seams over in opposite directions before seating so the paper opens flat against the wedge wall.

- How it brews
- Cafec's abaca-fibre paper in the classic trapezoid (wedge) cut, sized 101, 102 and 103 for the Melitta-style wedge seat — so it fits Melitta and Kalita wedge drippers rather than a V60 cone. It brings Cafec's abaca sheet to the wedge format, where the folded flat-bottom shape pools the bed differently from a cone. Cafec publishes no flow rating for the trapezoid line and there's no reliable within-seat ranking against other wedge papers, so we leave flow unrated rather than guess. Match the number to your dripper size, and rinse before brewing as usual.
